Adventist University of Health Sciences (ADU), formally known as the Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences is located near downtown Orlando, Florida, United States. The university is a Seventh Day Adventist institution and its areas of specializations include nursing and health education. ADU is associated and works closely with Florida Hospital, so that students may have a firsthand clinical experience and the Adventist Health System, which is operated by the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

ADU offers various online programs and degrees at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Programs offered at the undergraduate level include:

  • Online Bachelor of Science in Nursing

This program is suitable for registered nurses who are looking for an opportunity to earn a degree that may help them in career advancement, greater earning potential, and advancement of skills, more professional knowledge and professional growth.

Applicants who have a cumulative GPA (CGPA) of no less than 2.50, with no grade below a “ C “, or a recent graduate who is allowed to sit for the NCLEX-RN exam are eligible to apply for this online program.

  • Online Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences

The Adventist University of health sciences online bachelor of science in radiologic sciences program is suitable for working professionals. It may provide them with the opportunity to expand their professional knowledge, and learn and enhance their business, technical and medical skills. This online program may also assist these students in continuous professional growth.

According to ADU’s official website, those applicants would be considered eligible for this program, who possess an associate’s degree in radiotherapy, radiologic technology, radiologic sciences or nuclear medicine technology from an accredited institution. In addition, the applicant must have a minimum cumulative CGPA of 2.50 with no grade below “C“. The applicant must also hold registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).

  • Online Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography

According to ADU’s official website, this flexible degree program was specially ‘crafted’ for adult learners, so that they may also meet their work, educational, family and personal commitments.

To get admission into this program, the applicant must be registered in sonography by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or Cardiovascular Credentialing International.

At the master’s level, ADU offers:

  • The Online Master’s of Health Care Administration

This is a two years program. The aim of this program is to provide you with the essential and basic knowledge base, tools, values and skills sets required to work and progress in this competitive market-driven industry.

Admission requirements include a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3.0 GPA, GRE or GMAT scores, resume, goal statement and three letters of recommendation.  

The program will also require students to seek out internships to gain professional experience.
