About Antioch University New England (AUNE)
Founded in 1964 and almost completing 50 years now, Antioch University New England has established itself as a prestigious university. It is located in Keene, N.H. and is classified as a private, non-profit educational institute that offers both master’ and doctorate degrees. It also offers post-master and post-baccalaureate certification. Its programs are practice-oriented graduate programs and degrees that aim to induce social action.
Combining the New England traditions of self-reliance and personal actions to benefit the society at large, it envisions itself as a nesting ground of individuals who have a keen sense of social, economic and environmental responsibility which aids the idea of development. AUNE offers thirteen master’s degree programs and three doctoral degree programs in Management, Sustainability, Psychology among other areas.
The campus in New England is one of the five campuses of Antioch University which spread through four states: Antioch University Los Angeles (L.A), Antioch University Midwest in Yellow Springs (Ohio), Antioch University Seattle (Washington), and Antioch University Santa Barbara (California). Each location offers different programs of study.
Accreditation
Antioch University New England is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. One of the two commission members of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA), it is an independent corporation which accredits post-secondary degree awarding educational institutes in the North Central region. All programs are also approved by the New Hampshire Department of Education.

Online Learning at AUNE
The development of Sakai (a learning management system) has created a gateway to online distance programs offered by AUNE. In addition to this, the online programs offered by AUNE allow flexibility in learning as students can pace their courses according to their own personal preferences. Lecturers and guest lecturers also use Skype to interact with students and post videos or audios of lectures online. AUNE is also equipped with an on-site audio and video editing facility. The online degrees and programs offered by the Antioch University New England also use the internet for assignments and discussions via student forums.
