Phlebotomy
Dental assisting may be a suitable career option for those who enjoy working directly with patients. The programs offered at ATA prepare students for real world challenges, and equips them with skills that may help them qualify to work as a dental assistants. Other than core courses, the college offers CPR certification for healthcare providers through the American Heart Association, Kentucky certification in Radiology Safety and Technique, and hands-on lab experience at an actual dentist’s office.
ATA also offers a LMRA program to train students to provide radiographs for radiologists and physicians, arrange for patients’ radiographic exams, and operate radiographic equipment. Its Limited Medical Radiography program is approved by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services Department of Public Health. Graduates qualify to take the Kentucky Limited Radiography examination. Upon completion, students are awarded an Occupational Associates Degree Limited Medical Radiography with a Concentration in Medical Assisting.
In addition to these programs, students who are interested in phlebotomy or medical coding careers will find relevant training programs at ATA.
Financial Aid
Students who wish to enroll at ATA, but are unable to afford to pay for all the expenses may apply for financial assistance.
