Kent State University is among the leading state schools in the whole of U.S. The university is well-known in the U.S. and abroad for having extensive research facilities, and a total research endowment of over sixty-four million dollars. The university was founded in 1910 as the Kent Normal School, a specialized local teacher training institute. The university was later renamed, and moved to a spacious location with better facilities. The universities main campus is located in the Kent region of Ohio, and has eight other sister campuses spread across the state of Ohio.

The university offers some forty associate’s, two hundred bachelor’s, fifty master’s, twenty-three doctoral degree programs through its multiple campuses located all over the state of Ohio. Student Enrollment and Campus Locations
Kent State University has over forty thousand students enrolled in one its undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate degree programs. Over twenty-thousand students study for their degrees at the Kent based campus alone, making it the third-largest university building by size and student population. The university has eight further campuses located in Burton, East Liverpool, North Canton, Salem, New Philadelphia, Ashtabula, and Warren, Ohio.
