  • Business Management

This course is designed to enable students to develop an understanding about business law, ethics and practices and provide a more practical and real-world education. This ensures that even without any business experience, students are better prepared to enter this field and begin their careers. The course focuses on topics such as marketing, E-business and human recourse management etc.

  • Information systems security specialist (ISSP)

Today’s world is increasingly relying on computers and the internet. Our personal records, company information and national databases are now all accessible online. Due to their sensitive nature, they need to be protected from exploitation by hackers and telemarketers. This is where an ISSP comes in, whose job is to provide network security and prevent cyber crime. In this program, the students learn how to analyze online computer networks and their functions, as well as being trained in ‘ethical’ hacking and computer forensics techniques and tools.

  • Medical assistant occupational specialist

This course is intended to provide training to aspiring medical assistants with regards to the skills and knowledge that they will require to perform their duties in clinical and administrative settings. The course combines both theoretical study - through online courses, such as anatomy and pharmacology - as well as practical lab work that has to be performed on campus. An externship entailing 240 hours of work to be undertaken at a medical facility is a compulsory requirement for this program.

  • Medical billing and coding

This program trains students in developing the skills that an entry-level medical billing/coding job requires. At the end of the program, students are expected to have a working knowledge of coding and billing methods as well as of essential medical and procedural terminology. Since medical billers and coders are also involved in the administrative tasks of a hospital or clinic, basic management principles are also taught in this program.

  • Paralegal

This program gives training in basic legal and ethical components that are essential in developing a law-related skill-set. It also provides them an insight into legal issues, and highlights the application of legal principles in different situations. The program is also designed to impart essential skills such as research methods and academic writing.

  • Pharmacy technician

The objective behind this particular degree is to prepare students for having a possible career as a pharmacy technician. Students are introduced to common and basic medical vocabulary and also taught how to administer various medicines.  Students also learn about the different technical processes, such as calculations and medical dosages that a pharmacy technician deals with, as well as issues related to medical ethics.
